Het komt niet vaak voor dat er 32 ambulancevoertuigen gestald staan in één grote remise maar in Amsterdam is dat wel het geval. Een grote stallingsruimte waar ambulances 24/7 af en aan rijden om vandaar uit door een gedeelte van Amsterdam de patiënten te kunnen vervoeren.
Door een te hoge concentratie aan uitstoot van fijnstof (dieselemissie) werden er door Overlander voor maar liefst 32 ambulancevoertuigen het welbekende uitlaatgasafzuigsysteem van Plymovent gemonteerd. De installatie werd verdeeld in twee systemen elk met een eigen ventilator, druksensoren, servo-kleppen en frequentieregelaars.
T.b.v. de voertuigen werd er wederom gekozen voor het Railsysteem type SBT met Pneumatic Grabber die automatisch afkoppelt van de uitlaat bij het naderen van het einde van het railsysteem.
Als het voertuig wordt gestart wordt er druk door de uitlaatgassen opgebouwd in de afzuigslang welke worden gedetecteerd door een druksensor, deze druksensor is gekoppeld aan een besturingsunit
welke op zijn beurt de ventilator aanschakelt en ook na een insteltijd weer automatisch uitschakelt.
De frequentieregelaar zorgt er voor dat hoe meer er motoren worden gestart van de ambulances en zullen vertrekken de ventilator harder gaat draaien zodat er altijd voldoende afzuigcapaciteit aanwezig is.
Wat een geweldig project om weer te hebben mogen maken voor onze vaste opdrachtgever, Ambulance Amsterdam.

As many as 32 Ambulance vehicles connect Overlander to an exhaust extraction system !
It is not often that 32 ambulance vehicles are stored in one large depot but in Amsterdam this is the case.
A large depot where ambulances drive in and out 24/7 to transport patients from there through part of Amsterdam.
Due to an excessive concentration of particulate matter (diesel emissions), Overlander installed the well-known Plymovent exhaust extraction system for as many as 32 ambulance vehicles.
The installation was divided into two systems, each with its own fan, pressure sensors, automatic dampers, pressure transmitters and frequency inverters.
For the vehicles, the type SBT rail system with Pneumatic Grabber, which automatically disconnects from the exhaust when approaching the end of the rail system, was chosen again.
When the vehicle is started the exhaust gases build up pressure in the suction hose which is detected by a pressure sensor, this pressure sensor is linked to a control unit
which in turn switches the fan on and also automatically switches it off after a set time.
The variable speed drive ensures that the more engines are started from the ambulances and will leave the fan will turn harder so that there is always enough extraction capacity.
What a great project to have been able to make again for our regular client, Ambulance Amsterdam.
